January 2019
1  New Years Day Run  GW National Forest    Open   OCC Mail List  on occ.groups.io

* See List : Refers to the Yahoo Groups List where most discussion and announcements are made and where realtime and last minute updates to events occur.

Event Type Explaination:

MOR = OCC runs two annual Members Only Runs per year as a benefit to membership, there is also sometimes a DC area three club Members Only Run where we are both a sponsoring organization and invited club.

MORI = Members Only Run Invitational : Based on land access rules we must restrict certain runs to the members and invited guests of the members of our club. It should not be a problem to recieve an invite if you have attended meetings, been on a run, or know a member personally. If you don't meet any of these then an invite may be difficult to recieve. Contact the Member At Large (MAL) if needed.

Open = Open OCC events are intended to encourage new participation and are open to anyone who has signed up on the OCC Yahoo Groups list and announced interest in the run. You do not need permission or an invite, but at the event you fall under OCC responsibility and rules. You are asked to follow our guidance of the designated Trail Boss or leave the event.

MIR = Member Initiated Ride: OCC highly encourages member initiated events or runs that are not Board Sponsored events, but are "open" events sanctioned by OCC and fall under OCC Rules of the Off-Road. Any member or guest seeking membership can initiate a MIR by posting on the OCC Yahoo Groups list 24 hours in advance and creating a database. OCC also has a highly competitive "Trail Boss Award" designed to encourage and reward these ad-hoc short notice runs.

Non-OCC = An event that is not sponsored by OCC but we recognize as an event OCC members and guests might be interested in attending. These events could also be for state or national organizations of which OCC is a member.
